02 Mar Laser Hair Removal Vs Shaving
This was my typical morning before I started laser hair removal.
I’m in the shower, it is 6:00am, the only time of the day when all of my 4 kids, ages 8 to 53, (husband is my oldest), are quiet. I have washed my hair, conditioner applied and soaking in, time to shave my body. Razor in hand, only to discover, that the last of my pricey Costco stockpile of blades is now so dull it couldn’t cut through butter. Now my pitts, claves and other bits and pieces are nicked, great start to my day.
I now laser.
Laser hair removal can be a new concept for some, or you have tried it, and it “didn’t work”.
Laser hair removal involves using laser technology to deliver an intense but gentle burst of energy onto targeted areas of the skin, delivering a controlled amount of therapeutic heat to the targeted area safely and effectively. After 3 treatments, with an outstanding laser, you will have 80% permanent hair reduction! Can shaving or waxing give you those results?
Yes, there is more of an upfront cost to laser hair removal. But it will save you more time and money in the long run.
Be sure you do your research on your laser too! Some establishments offer IPL or Intense Pulsed Light, and call it a laser. It is NOT a laser, it is intense pulsed LIGHT, and is not as strong as a laser. Some places offer laser, but the laser isn’t very strong. This is when you hear “I went for 15 treatments and my hair grew back”. That laser was essentially a flash light over the skin.
